The monavie is a beverage company that manufactures health drinks rich in nutrients as its composed of a blend of 19 different fruits and also consists of freeze dried acai powder and puree. It is marketed using a multi level business model. The monavie was founded in 2005 which was owned by a company which was a distributor of health and weight loss supplements. The company took over the bottling and marketing areas of the juice products. The composition of the juice includes the extracts of fruits like apple, pear, lychee, white and purple grape, acia, banana and several other fruit extracts which are highly nutritional. There were some controversies in between regarding the nutritional efficiency of MMUN acai juice as some health specialists felt it wasn’t as nutritional as some other fruit extracts like raspberries, strawberry and pomegranate and also that it is sold at a higher cost as compared to more efficient drinks which are sold at cost effective rates. For example, the vitamin C content in this drink was found to be 5 times lower than another grape drink which was sold at only a fraction of the price at which this drink was sold.
